A crate or playpen is your puppy's personal and safe space, but it can quickly become a source of bad odor in the house, especially during potty training.
Once a week, completely empty the crate of toys and bedding. Textiles should be washed using hypoallergenic detergent without strong fragrances. The crate itself (plastic tray and metal wires) is best washed with a solution of warm water and white vinegar—a natural and completely pet-safe disinfectant that perfectly neutralizes odors. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals, as their fumes are harmful to your little one's sensitive sense of smell.
