Two Akita Puppies for Sale – Girl and Boy, 8 Weeks Old (Texas) Meet our adorable American Akita puppies. They are 5 weeks old now and ready to go to their forever homes. We have both males and females available. All puppies have been vaccinated and treated for parasites. Keep in mind that Akitas are a large breed, growing up to 28 inches tall and weighing up to 130 pounds. They need plenty of space, so they thrive best in a house with a yard or in a private enclosure. Akitas are strong, independent dogs. Training may require extra patience due to their stubborn streak, but they are intelligent and capable learners. Their thick coat requires regular grooming and attention.
