They have been examined by a veterinarian, received their first vaccinations, and are eating and playing well. They are ready to move to their new homes and will become loving and loyal companions for their new owners. The Akita Inu is a large breed originally from Japan. Adults can grow up to 70 cm (27.5 inches) at the shoulder and weigh up to 40 kg (88 lbs). They have powerful, well-proportioned bodies and thick fur. Akitas are known for their loyalty and strong guarding instincts. However, they can also be stubborn, so early socialization and training are essential.
